Dr. Elam is currently an Associate Professor at Texas A & M University, San Antonio, TX. He has a PhD, M.B.A & B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, and is also a Texas CPA. Dr. Elam’s educational tenure includes teaching Accounting at the University level for 30 years, and he is also a prior city Controller. In additional, Dr. Elam is an author (& co-author) of refereed journal articles, along with other professional-related writings & presentations. He maintains professional memberships in numerous organizations relating to accounting and auditing, and is a Board or committee member of auditing and scholastic organizations. Dr. Elam is a recipient of numerous awards, including the Distinguished Service Award for Continuing Prof. Education & Outstanding Accounting Educator for Small University awards. Guest lecturing on the topics of White Collar Crime and Ethics is among his initiatives.
