Ronald “Ron” Long is currently an author and Adj. Criminal Justice Professor in South Texas. Several years ago, Ron retired as an elected County Sheriff, whose career spanned almost 40 years in law enforcement and corporate fraud.
This author spent much of his professional tenure investigating illegal drugs, organized crime, and financial criminal cases. As an author, his literary works are comprised of books, magazines, and newspaper articles relating to criminal justice topics.
After years of encouragement from family members and friends, along with one “double dog dare you,” Ron began his journey as a new author, which evolved into a passion for writing. As of this date, he has authored a total of six books, with more to come.
